Mission Statement

Our mission is to create an inclusive event bringing together creators and fans of audio fiction in all its forms. We believe "audio fiction" includes scripted audio dramas, improvisational actual plays, and everything in between. Is it a fictional story in the audio medium? That's audio fiction to us!The safety of attendees is a priority to us. Members of the community whose presence puts speakers, organizers, or attendees at risk will not be welcome. Our event will be wheelchair accessible, and will not contain flashing lights. Service animals are welcome. While we cannot accommodate every disability, we want our event to be as accessible as possible. If you have accessibility questions, contact our team.We strive to create a diverse and inclusive event. Many on our team have signed the Equality in Audio Pact, and will be upholding its key pledges. Most relevantly, we aim to ensure that our panels are representative of the city and industry they take place in by inviting marginalized and underrepresented creators to speak on our panels. We intend to pay all speakers a small stipend as thanks for their work and expertise. We expect all speakers and attendees to treat others with kindness and respect. Harassment of any kind will not be permitted, and those who do not abide by our code of conduct will be removed from the event. We want to celebrate the creativity and art of audio fiction. In this vein, we will not use generative AI in our branding, marketing, or any other aspect of running this event. Selling or promoting work made with generative AI will not be permitted in our Artist's Alley.
